Nebraska wrestlers top University of Tennessee at Chattanooga 29-15
LINCOLN, Neb. — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga lost 29-15 to the sixth-ranked Nebraska wrestling team Thursday night.
Starting at 157 pounds, the Cornhuskers (1-0) took a 23-0 lead before Paul Garza got the Mocs a forfeit win at 125. All-American Cody Cleveland, ranked fourth nationally, won by pin at 141 pounds for UTC (3-4), and Dan Waddell won 11-4 at 149 in closing out the match.
UTC’s Seth Garvin (165) and Jason McCroskey (174) sustained their first losses of the season, both against top-five-ranked wrestlers — two of Nebraska’s four All-Americans.
