Chattanooga: Lookouts fall to Stars in 6-2 loss at home

The Huntsville Stars scored twice in the seventh inning and twice in the eighth Friday night at AT&T Field to pull away for a 6-2 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Brent Krause’s one-out double to right field in the seventh off Joe Valentine scored Angel Salome and Ozzie Chavez to give the Stars a 4-2 lead. Chavez capped the two-run eighth with a two-out RBI triple to right.

Chavez hit a two-run home run to right in the second inning to give Huntsville a 2-0 lead, but Chattanooga tied the game in the bottom of the second. Michael DeJesus provided the first run for the Lookouts when his sacrifice fly to left scored B.J. Szymanski, and Chris Heisey’s infield hit that scored Eric Eymann resulted in Chattanooga’s last run of the night.

The Lookouts dropped to 28-38 with three games remaining in the Southern League’s regular season, while the Stars improved to 31-36.
