Chattanooga: LOOKOUTS DELAYED

Wednesday’s recap: Rain delays of more than four hours at Smokies Park prevented the Chattanooga Lookouts and Tennessee Smokies from playing their doubleheader. In fact, the end of the first game had not been determined at press time.

Next game: Game one of a five-game series against Huntsville at AT&T Field is tonight at 7:15.

Pitchers: James Avery (7-7, 4.85) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Jeremy Jeffress (2-0, 1.93) scheduled for the Stars.

Update: Lookouts officials have moved the pregame ceremony honoring former Chattanooga and Minnesota Twins manager Cal Ermer from Friday to Saturday.
